# Notification Settings

> Configure in-app alerts and notification preferences

# Notification Settings

Control which in-app alerts you receive for key events like survey submissions, incomplete cases, and order updates.

## Accessing Notification Settings

1. Click **Settings** in the navigation menu
2. Click **Notifications** in the settings menu

## Available Notifications

### In-App Alert for PROMS Survey Submissions

Receive an alert in the app when a patient submits a new PROMS (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures) survey response.

* **Default:** Enabled
* This helps you stay informed about patient feedback as it comes in

### Device Notification for PROMS Surveys

<Note>
  This feature is coming soon. The toggle is visible but currently disabled.
</Note>

Push notifications to your device when a new survey is submitted — even when the app is not open.

### In-App Alert for Incomplete Cases

Receive an alert if cases scheduled for the day are not completed by end of day.

* **Default:** Disabled
* Useful as a reminder to finalise case documentation before leaving

### In-App Alert for Order Status Updates

Receive an alert when the status of an order changes (e.g., shipped, delivered).

* **Default:** Disabled
* Keeps you informed about equipment and supply orders

## Managing Your Preferences

    Use the switches to enable or disable each notification type

    Your preferences are saved immediately when you toggle a switch — no need to click a save button

## How Alerts Work

When a notification is triggered and the corresponding preference is enabled:

1. An alert appears in the **alerts badge** in the top navigation bar
2. Click the alerts badge to view your alerts on the **Alerts** page
3. Alerts remain until you dismiss them

<Note>
  In-app alerts are only delivered while you are signed in and the app is open. They do not send push notifications to your device (except the upcoming device notification feature for surveys).

## First-Time Setup

The first time you visit the Notification Settings page, your preferences are automatically created with default values:

| ------------------------------------- | ---------------------- |
| In-app alert for PROMS surveys        | Enabled                |
| Device notification for PROMS surveys | Disabled (coming soon) |
| In-app alert for incomplete cases     | Disabled               |
| In-app alert for order status         | Disabled               |

You can change any of these at any time.
