# Generate Post-Op Report

> Creating post-operative reports for patients

# Generate a Post-Operative Report

Create professional PDF reports summarising the surgical procedure for patients and referring physicians.

## Generating a Report

    Navigate to the completed procedure

  <Step title="Click Generate Report">
    Click the **Generate Report** button
  </Step>

  <Step title="Customise Content">
    Edit or confirm report sections
  </Step>

  <Step title="Preview Report">
    Click **Preview** to review the report
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate PDF">
    Click **Generate PDF** to create the final document
  </Step>

## Report Sections

### Procedure Summary

A brief overview of the surgery:

* Procedure type and approach
* Key findings
* Outcomes

Click the edit icon to customise the summary text.

### Tension Information

Description of the tension measurements:

* Measurement context
* Significance of values
* Comparison to targets

### Rehabilitation Guidelines

Post-operative care instructions:

* Activity restrictions
* Physical therapy guidance
* Follow-up schedule
* Warning signs to watch for

### Images

Up to **4 images** are included on the report. The images shown are determined by selections you make on the [Procedure Details — Media tab](/operations/procedure-details#selecting-images-for-post-op-report):

* Images you have marked with a numbered badge (1–4) appear in that order.
* If no images have been explicitly selected, the first 4 visible images by upload order are used automatically.

Common image types:

* Intraoperative photos
* X-rays or other imaging
* Before/after comparisons

  To change which images appear on the report, go back to the procedure's **Media** tab and tap the badge on each image to select or deselect it before generating.

### Feedback Survey

Option to include a survey link:

* Patient satisfaction survey
* Outcome tracking questionnaire
* Customised follow-up questions

## Editing Report Content

Each section can be edited before generation:

    Edit the content in the text editor
  </Step>

  <Step title="Use Voice Input">
    Click the microphone for voice-to-text
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save Changes">
    Click confirm to save your edits
  </Step>

## Report Settings

Toggle sections on or off:

| Section          | Default | Description             |
| ---------------- | ------- | ----------------------- |
| Summary          | On      | Procedure overview      |
| Tension Info     | On      | Measurement description |
| Rehab Guidelines | On      | Post-op instructions    |
| Feedback         | On      | Survey link             |
| Images           | On      | Selected images         |

## Regenerating Reports

If you need to update a report:

1. Make changes to the content
2. Click **Re-generate PDF**
3. The previous version is replaced
4. Re-send to the patient if needed

  Regenerating a report creates a new PDF and replaces the previous version. The patient will need to be sent the new report.
